France has emerged as one of India's key defense suppliers, with the acquisition of Rafale fighter jets being a significant highlight. Between 2018 and 2022, France became India's second-largest defense supplier, accounting for 29% of total defense imports. Prospects for successful deals, such as the procurement of 26 Rafale jets for the navy and the acquisition of three Scorpene submarines, further demonstrate the deepening ties between the two nations.

France has been supportive of India's aspirations for a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and will be played a significant role in advocating for a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the European Union (EU). These efforts reflect the shared commitment of both countries towards global peace and prosperity.
